I own one. They haven't been out very long. Mine sure doesn't have a high-capacity magazine! The Brigadier 96 Inox was designed to meet the special needs of the INS (US Immigration and Naturalization Service) who wanted an accurate, reliable and durable .40 caliber pistol with removable front and rear sights. The pistol incorporates all the high performance characteristics of the traditional 92 Series pistols, plus features that are unique to the Brigadier. The Brigadier’s slide is heavier and recontoured. This design accommodates a key INS requirement – a removable front sight – and provides shooters with a critically important advantage. Because of the heavier slide, the gun’s balance is enhanced and felt recoil is reduced, improving accuracy for follow-up shots.
These new models have a stainless steel barrel, slide, and other key components and internal parts. The alloy frame is anodized to match the color and finish of the stainless slide and barrel. The wraparound rubber grips have a stippled texture and hex key grip screws.
Oh, yeah, I paid $600 for mine new.
