What happens with the hi-cap ban will depend 100% on you and the rest of the pro-gun people, during the 2002 election. The ban will sunset 2 months before the 2004 election. If the anti-gunners claim they won the 2002 election, they will push gun control and have the majority to do so. If the pro-gun people are elected in droves, the anti-gunners will be too scared to mention gun control for fear of not being elected in 2004. The same goes for the President. If no one wants to touch the subject of gun control, then the candidates for President will not campaign on that being an issue they support.
Start planning now. If you aren't involved in politics, get involved. If you aren't registered to vote, get registered. If there is not pro-gun person in your area running, find one and help them campaign. The race for the primaries has already started. [b] If we don't win in 2002 we will most certainly loose in 2004.

Amen Brother...
I was saying this back in November when the question mark came up in FL.
2002 is the KEY fella's. There's a bunch of places where hope is certainly lost... Here in the PRK, we will never see a Pro-Gun senator get elected, and we'd be lucky if 30% of the Representatives would be "Pro".
Do remember though, what happens here, can happen there... Y0U can stop it from happening, but don't ignore what's happened here, as it's the blueprint they will use there...
Also, the Socialists can win in CA, NY, and IL, but that doesn't give them the country... We need to make sure that the numbers stay strong everywhere else. We need to take Pittsburgh & Philly PA, and St. Louis MO back, we need to win everywhere in IL knowing that Chicago will fall, and the same applies to NY.
we can turn this around, but the middle of the road GUNOWNERS need to get on board or we will loose.
The NRA should have more than 25 million members with all the gun owners in this country, instead of only 4 million. If each person recruits 2 or 3, we will be on our way!
