Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - I'm confused about gun registration.

I know that the .22s and shotguns I have(which have been in my family for years) are not registered.  Living in Massachusetts they recommend, but don't require it.

I also assume that my Glock 19 and new LEGP AR15 will be registered automatically?  With all that federal and state paperwork they must have a file on me, right?

So in order to have an unregistered pistol of rifle I guess it must be XX years old?
