complimentary metal oxide semiconductor, I bought the stock from cfi arms for $679, [url]cfiarms.com/vn/accuracy/01:AICS1G?token=bfe999da28231[/url] and the Remington 700 from a local shop for $645.  Mine is a VL, the least expensive one I could find because I didn't need to pay more for the VS (synthetic stock) that I won't use.  A member told me he got the assembled rifle (with AI stock )from Cal's Sporting Armory for $1100 or so, I emailed them but they didn't have the 700 in stock, I asked them to let me know when they have it and I haven't heard from them since, so I had to go the expensive route and get the rifle and stock seperately.

JDP, I was wondering about why you asked about Egypt, then I saw the picture in the background...we bought the print thingie as a birthday gift, but it turned out so nice after it was framed we decided to keep it, lol some indian giver.
CMOS and Sniper, I believe it's overpriced as well, hell it cost more than the rifle itself, but there is some good engineering put in the AW and AWM, the chasis system inherited much of it.  The package is basically two hollow halves made of reinforced plastic and an aluminum backbone to which the rifle's action is bolted.  I can't vouch for its being more accurate because the rifle is now on the AI stock (just installed the rifle a few hours ago) but it is more comfortable and a hell lot better looking than the original stock. The AI sling studs are crap, they rattle and make all kinds of noise when the rifle is on the move.  I'd like to use my Leupold Vari X 3x9 and the A.R.M.S. quick detach rings with it, but I bought that setup for my flattop AR15 and it may be too high for this bolt action rifle...
