Greetings:

I will be flying into Dallas-Love next Sunday for a meeting in Jewett on Monday. Can y'all help a Yankee out with ideas for where to stay? I see that there is a Best Western in Fairfield; is it OK? There's some dump in Buffalo that I could stay at if I had to, but it's pretty shady. There's a new Hampton Inn (I think) under construction, but I don't think it's finished yet.

Thanks.

Just like a Damn Yankee - flying into our beloved State without so much as a 'Please and Thank you' to the Texas Crew!

I don't suppose you will be eating while here.

Otherwise, you would have thought to post this over at the Texas Hometown Forum and seen if you could gather a few dozen Texans to come meet and greet you!

We have the 'hospitality' thing down pretty pat here in Texas!

BTW, the Best Western in Fairfield will be as good as it gets around that area.

It's a lovely part of the State, as you will soon see, but it's not very heavily populated, and so there are little accomodations, and the few that are around, are pretty lean.

In the meawhile, see if you want to have dinner or lunch with the Texas/DFW Crew on any day that you may be here.

Post it over on the Texas Hometown Forum!

YeeeeHaaawwww!

We need to see what Kansans look like anyway.

Well, thank y'all very kindly, gents. I think I'll go with the Days Inn in Corsicana. Upon further inspection, the Best Western in Fairfield, well, isn't. It's actually Craig's Inn in Buffalo, which is the place I wanted to avoid. Thanks, Micro$oft! Another wild goose chase, brought to you by Bill Gates and his band of overseas contract programmers.

Thanks for the tip, GI_Brat. I'll look there as well.

I believe I will repost this in the TX forum as well, just in case.

I've got the president of my firm and a very valuable client in tow, otherwise, I'd be happy to meet up with some of you good folks. Also, it's a short trip - down Sunday night, back home in time for supper Monday night.

Eric, I think you'll find that most Kansas look just like "normal" people. I, however, am abnormal, so not a representative sample of the Sunflower State.

There used to be a nice little Hilton Garden Inn in Addison i think it was.
They were very friendly, and had clean rooms and good service.
