USGI book they hand out in Basic training
TM 05538C-10/1A Bushmaster throws these in with there new rifles. USMC tech manual. USMC TECHNICAL MANUAL RIFLE, 5.56mm M16 A2 W/E TM9-1005-319-23P shows you how to take everything apart. barrel replacement etc.. http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/lowers/technical%5Fmanuals.htm "THE BLACK RIFLE" has alot of history.EXCELLENT "The Competitive AR15" by Glen Zediker www.brownells.com Scott Duffs book should be good too, but I haven't seen it yet. |

The Kuleck and Duff book is a very well-done reference. I wish all gun books were as good. It was also inexpensive, with my club discount it was around $12-15.

In addition to the fine selection shared by all above - one I don't see mentioned here is the Colt M16A1 Rifle Armorer/Depot Maintainance and Repair Manual.
Bear in mind that this is for the older verion of AR15/16 rifles (revised January 1980) but a good reference. You can find them for a song at gun shows. [sniper] The Sniper |
