Mercedes is looking to be a real train wreck with all the personnel changes and convoluted org structure.

I think Kimi is really going to shine now that he has a full year under his belt and Lotus has a chance to design the car around his driving style.  I look for multiple wins from him.

Still some open seats to be filled. Hamilton is already trying to get everyone to set the bar low for him. He's said in the last few days that he hopes Mercedes can deliver a good car for him. No mention of what he's going to do to help that happen.

Should be an interesting year, just hope we get to see it as well covered as it has been the last couple of years.

I'm sorry, Seb should have never won that title...  Alonso should have had it hands down with as hard as he drove, in the car that was no where near ready.

F1's Best steering wheel.

I like the "Jenson" button.

Is it just me, or is Lotus starting to adopt an early Red Bull Racing attitude/feeling as a team? It seems more relaxed and fun.

Well, here's to hoping NBC has good coverage.  Going to be a big change not seeing it on SPEED.

Anyone hear anything more about the NBC coverage??

im in.

i like Hamilton a lot. I'm hoping he does well at Mercedes. I would really like to see Sergio Perez do well this year. I like Vettel but im just tired of seeing him win so damn much. I cant stand RoGro and think he needs to choke himself. I'd still like to see Alonso do better this year than last. I went to the USGP in Austin. It was one of the coolest things ive ever done. the sounds are unreal in person. TV does it no justice.

but anyways im in for the fantasy league.

The extra intake ports aren't in every pic, but they mean only one thing.......Lotus continues to develop a passive DRS (100% legal by 2013 rules).

Awesome...could be a season dominating advantage the likes we haven't seen since Braun's double diffuser.

anybody read about HRT being possibly bought by another group of Investors

HERE

A group of Canadian and American investors are pushing to try and secure HRT's entry slot in Formula 1, but they may have to wait until 2014 before being allowed to join the grid.

Last year was the first full year that I watched Formula 1. I may participate in the Pirelli GP challenge this year since I have a little better understanding of F1 now.

It would be good to see Kimi win a few races this year.

Can we have the spelling of Formula corrected in the thread title?

Interesting car from McLaren..pull rod front (good job Ferrari), modesty plate and quite a few large direction changes with aero.

From what I understand the final design on things like the nose aren't finalized. It was a very bland release compared to the step-noses from last year.

I'm excited for this year of F1.  I got really busy last year and lost track of the season right before the race in Austin.  I hope to be able to keep up with it all year long this time around.

I hope it is better than the NASCAR coverage they did a few years back.  They sucked royally. One thing was they would say a car was loose, then go on for 5 minutes, explaining what that meant.  This wasn't that big a deal the first time, but doing it every race, and numerous times per race, got to be ridiculous.  I sure hope they don't ruin F1.

The debrief show on speed was a good way to catch up but now that it's not on speed I don't think they'll have a show like that.

I really hope that Lotus/Renault is as fast as it looks.  A three way Kimi/Alonso/Vettel WDC fight would rule.

Benneton/Renault/Lotus has always had that reputation, a combination of the French heritage and Flavio's influence.

Senna started with that team, back when it was Toleman.  Ran the Segafredo livery.

Yep, and Will Buxton is coming over to NBC from SPEED.  He's a pretty good pit reporter, lots of energy, and knows his stuff.

Still waiting to see if NBC will give live practice, qualifying and race coverage. If not, they suck.

What's wrong with Hamilton? Certainly better than that dolt Webber!

It was already stated last fall they would air all practices, qualy, and races live on NBC Sports Channel.  They have also promised all sessions live streaming

Will Buxton is already putting out coverage for NBC.....  http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/22825103/vp/50632291#50632291

Here is also a schedule times, and channels the races will be on.  http://scores.nbcsports.msnbc.com/nascar/schedule.asp?series=FORM1
