I gave up my search for a PPK and got a PPK/S with the beams coming my way. What the most bad ass defense ammo I can get for it.

I forget which one my P238 likes better, gotta go do some more testing - but the Winchester stuff seems to do well. I have some PDX1 left, I forget what the other was - been thinking about ordering some Ranger-T in 380, Winchester Ranger is my preferred 9mm ammo when I can find it.

I thought they couldn't import the PPK because it weighed too little so they added a bit to it and called it the PPK/S.

I buy Remington Golden Saber 102 grain for my wife's .380.
I generally go with the heavier bullets in smaller calibers; penetration seems better.
The Golden Sabers are 100% reliable in her sig, and dead-nuts accurate to boot.

from what i recall 380 HP's really never really mushroom so it seems to be better to go with slightly heavier FMJ's and go deeper

W/ .390 it's hard to get enough of both.  Penetration  is the most critical IMO.  I prefer the Winchester FMJ w/ the trunicated cone(flat nose).  You could always load a couple of expanders on the top w/ the rest of the mag FMJ..

Not true I have some Speers that I fired into the "Bullet Test Tube" and they are expanded nicely. I will see if I can find them again, and post a pic.

How about we confuse the matter even more with some pesky facts:

I quit carrying golden sabers and switched to gold dots based on this.

I used to load a lot for .380 many years ago and unless things
have changed you can load better than you can buy for it.
My P3AT goes everywhere with me... even when I pack my
Glock 27.
But I must ask why a PPKs when there are so many 9mm
guns out there in the same size package.

I carry it in my g19, I wouldn't hesitate to trust it to expand as expected

Corbon. Meets FBI spec and expands. Fairly hot round for a .380 though. Over 1000 FPS.
