Because reporting stories like that would point out the utter fail of Chicago and their gun laws,
and there is no money to be made in the death of them. |

The hypocrisy is staggering, and the media silence when compared to the Trayvon incident is equally stunning. Add to this the blatant attempt by the media to play a knowingly-doctored and false 911 tape, and this is more than ignorance...it's a willingness and desire to perpetuate the false notion that America is a racist nation. There is no $ for Al or Jesse on those stories, they only hate white people - remember this when they start screaming racism. They are blind to their own faults.
Not only these stories, but there is no mention of the black on white crimes recently either. It is just sickening - I wish people would cancel their TV, then maybe they will get the message. .....but that won't ever happen - people would be forced to sit in silence and think about things, things they don't want to think about and issues they don't want to address to improve their lives - so instead they turn on the TV again. |

I grew up watching the news. At a very young age, I asked my dad why 4 people being killed in the Gaza strip was news when it happened every day. At the same time, many more people were killed in NYC, but that went unreported. My dad told me that the news is what they want you to know.

I didn't read the articles, but I always wonder how many deaths are a direct result of drug or alchohol abuse, or gang violence?

That's right around the same statistic here in Jacksonville (Where the Prosecutor for the Martin case is from), but I think its closer to 95% Every year if we had 100 murders/homicides the break down would look like this 95 - Black on black and drug related 3 - Domestic related, various races (deranged husband kills wife, vice versa etc) 1 - Child molester related, various races 1 - Unsolved, various races Jacksonville was the murder capital of FL for a few years recently, but I've always said, as long as you're not black or into drugs Jacksonville is the safest place in America. ETA, I don't think we've had any Asian related murders (perp or victim) in years. |

Because the national media has discovered the only "White Hispanic" in existence, and apparently he hates black people and hunts them like dogs to take their Skittles. It's not every day a figment of the imagination is involved in a real life crime drama.
Imagine if a one-of-a-kind racist Bigfoot (let's make it a Yeti so it's extra racist) chased down an Asian kid, killed her over some bubble tea, but only after there was some dubious interaction that may have involved the Asian girl kung-fu'ing the shit out of the Skunk Ape. As already said, it would be a twofold failure in the use of the media - proving the fallacy of Chicago's "safety" being due to gun control, and not furthering the liberal agenda.

Yep, and you and I both know, since we're both in Illinois, that we can't have CCW here because our lives aren't as precious as the politicians who have armed bodyguards in this state, so these crimes are not being committed by legally armed gun owners. It's just amazing to me how the media herd is so fixated on a single event in Florida when there are multiples of those events taking place in a large city every single day, right in Jesse Jackson's and Obama's back yard, and somehow it's not national news. |
