M1 Garand.

Accurate, good range, and could crush someones head if needed!

Thompson smg, Just freakin' bad!

Not on the Allied side and used before the war but the Mauser has been the basis for every concievable type of rifle, just got to give it a nod.

It is probably easier for you to keep track of the rifles you don't own than the one you do. [:D]

Best Rifle - M1 Garand
Best pistol - 1911A1
Best heavy MG - Browning M2 .50cal
Best light MG - MG42
Best assualt rifle - MP44/STG44
Best SMG - can't decide, Thompson-wonderfull but expensive to make. MP40, M3 grease gun? PPSh41?

Fallschirmjaeger Gewehr 42 was an interesting design.

Steyr - this taunting and torture of other people has to stop!!  I did not think my envy of you could get any greater, but I was clearly wrong.  You are "getting" an MG-42!!!!!

I'm torn between my hatred and envy - and the desire to build a shrine in my closet and worship you.

I'll definately join the Steyr Aug Haters / Worshippers club!!!!!!!

No ONE PERSON should have all the toys this guy has.

I've just recently converted to socialism / marxism. Share the wealth, Steyr Aug!!!!!! FROM each acording to his ability, TO each according to his need!!!!

And I DEFINATELY NEED summa his toys!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, and the SINGLE best WWII gun ever?? The M1. Period. To say otherwise is heresy.  [:D]

Best Submachine gun of WWII?

Beretta BM38/42 (after Sept.'43, MP38/42).

It was in use in either Italy or Germany from 1938 until 1969.
