I have one in .222. Not a bad rifle, but a terrible trigger, and non adjustable. Dads been looking for one in 30-30 for some reason.

My uncle had one in .30/30
.222s are uncommon and worth the premium. They tend to be very good shooters. |

I have one in .30-30 and love it.
 Very accurate with the peep sight –– I've never even been tempted to put a scope on it (plenty of other rifles for that).  |

$150 for an average one. $200 if it is EXCEPTIONALLY nice.
That caliber is becoming a bit forgotten so you won't find ammo in a lot of places. |

I had a 30-30 and the barrel sounded like a tuning fork it was so ill-fitted in the stock. That said it shot great....Go figure.

I have three of them, a standard 340 in .30-30 (no scope mount), one in .222 with an older Weaver AO 10x, and a 325C Compact in .30-30. They're fun little guns, and reasonably accurate.

Just refinished and reblued one for my dad in 225win.
279 is a little much for one in 70% |

they are neat and slightly interesting
get a couple a year though the shop I myself would not give much over $200 for one though |

I've got the .222 rem, 30-30 and .225 win. Nice guns, mine are walnut and blue steel. Older ones were better made. I really like the.225. Awesome jack rabbit gun. If I can find a gunsmith with experience rebarreling a 340, I want to change the 30-30 to 25-35 winchester. If anyone here can recommend a good gunsmith send me a PM.
