Well, I noticed that there isn't a thread dedicated to announcing these, so I figured I'd mention them. The Avila's received their first initial run of these AR15.com lowers recently (150 in this first batch). After being offered to staff, moderators, and life members first during the past two weeks or so, the remaining ones were opened up to the general membership before dawn this morning. Another batch has been ordered, but I have no idea when it will be filled. If you must have one of these from the initial batch, then you'd better hurry. who's it made by if i can ask? The company has asked to remain anonymous. Even staff hasn't been told who it is. But, the Avila's have assured us that they are a very reputable company. Quoted:
The price is a little higher than other lowers you can find, the reason for that is we had a choice to have them made local or at a machine shop with a ton of experience. |

Is there a choice of serial number? If possible I'd like to match one of my SEBRs...
|
|
Is there any way to see what FFLs arfcom already has? I will probably use Rainer Arms in WA since I bought my only AR and pistol from them.

There was a post by JLA indicating that they'd prefer a new FFL copy for these lowers even if the FFL was already on file from previous purchases, although I don't know how strict that policy is. FFL copies can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed in. |

I entered a FFL local to where I am in the shipping address, and then billed to myself. I'll let the FFL know it's coming in and they can do the transaction. There really is not a good way to enter any FFL or leave a message for the FFL recieving it, so I just used the ship to line and will notify the FFL. |

The lower will be shipped to the address on the FFL regardless of the shipping address entered during the purchase. Therefore, entering the FFL holder's address is not needed. Just place the order with your home address, then provide the FFL copy when it is convenient to do so. The site will need an FFL copy before shipping –– just the address of an FFL will not be enough.

<< Wonders how he missed the memo about this........
Damn. I dont have an FFL lined up either. |

I'm saying that the addresses typed into the boxes during the order process mean absolutely nothing, unless you happen to be ordering other items in addition to a lower receiver. The site MUST have an FFL copy in hand to ship. Typing an FFL's address into the "ship to" box on the order form won't accomplish anything. |

Son of a bitch. And only a week after buying a Spikes...
That price is hella awesome! |

I can't send his FFL, they contact him and if they already do not have it, he faxes it. I still do not understand what you are talking about. This isn't the first time I've had something shipped to him outside of C&R which comes directly to me. |

Those look nice. Wish I had some extra cash lying around for one.

I burnt my fingers pulling out the credit card... Hope I was quick enough to get one out of the first batch of 150...

IMO, the onus is on you to send them a copy to insure your lower gets shipped in a timely matter. |

I'm pretty sure that JLA asked that this link be kept in the mod forum for now...
|
|
Quoted: I can't buy lowers yet. They do look pretty sweet! How long until you turn 21? You could always pay for it, have it shipped to your FFL, but just have your FFL keep it in a safe place until you are legally eligible to complete the 4473 and take possession. |
|
Quoted: I'm pretty sure that JLA asked that this link be kept in the mod forum for now... JLA himself posted the link in another GD thread early this morning. Officially open for business! |

Do these come in pre-ban status? The manufacturer isn't banned in CT, is it? Hmm....I need to go re-read my state's AWB, maybe its just the rollmark that counts.......not who actually made it. |

Just ordered one and sent email asking number to fax ffl. This will be my hunting rifle lower.

You acting like its a big deal, "IF" this isn't the first time, then youre doing it wrong. |

I am local. Can I just pick it up (after payment) and save the FFL charge?
