Now I know that I don't know much, but what is the signifcance (if any) of the grey background design behind the gun and AR15.com.

To me it looks like a shankless door key that has been ball-peen hammered - with some sort of extension.

Kinda steelish lookin hard edged, dark, ass kicking kinda look...
