No particular order:
Terminator
Blade Runner
Serenity (yes - I do think it is among my all time favorites now. The STORY is good).
Highlander
The Matrix
Logans Run
12 Monkeys
Planet of the Apes
Star Wars
Chronicles of Riddick
Crap that's ten isn't it? I haven't even gotten to Alien/s, 2001, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, the Blob, Predator (cheesy but classic), Close Encounters, ...
The problem is I often like the concept (or a key concept) or innovation better than the whole movie. For example, some elements of the Thirteenth Floor are much better than the Matrix, but the Matrix executes better. Riddick and Serenity are just cool and different, good stories. 12 Monkeys is just interesting - It might not have made the list if I hadn't watched it recently. I also thought Total Recall was cool, if flawed.
Star Wars is just there because at 7 years old when it came out it changed my world completely.
Then there's movies for which the director should be shoved through a wood chipper for destroying a classic book, for example, Starship Troopers.
