With the election over this last Saturday, we have been successful in getting one of our own elected to the NRA Board. Please welcome me in congratulating Joe DeBergalis as one of the newest NRA Board Members.

With the upcoming NRA Annual meeting in Phoenix Arizona, the full list of elected members will be released shortly. Speaking of which, AR15.com will be attending this year's NRA Annual Meeting and we look forward to meeting many of you there.

The National Rifle Association (NRA) is pleased to announce that the association’s 138th Annual Meeting and Exhibits will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center in Phoenix, Arizona from May 15-17, 2009. Members of the news media are welcome to cover this year’s event.

With more than 50,000 extended attendees and more than 400 exhibits, this year’s Annual Meetings and Exhibits promises to be among the best in NRA’s history. Leading firearm manufacturers will display the firearm industry’s latest products. Various hunting and shooting accessories, guides and outfitters and an extensive private collection displayed by NRA-affiliated gun collector clubs will fill acres of convention space.

This has been a good week for the NRA.

As to the NRA Show. We look forward to meeting many of the AR15.com members visiting the Valley of the Sun for the event.

I for one can't believe that this subject has not garnished more attention than this, posted on the main page and 3 replies, one being from Joe....

Incredible....

Congratulations on your appointment, I look forward to your representation of our views and beliefs, as an American citizen that values all Freedoms granted to us, by the selfless actions of many brave and courageous men.

Good luck and God-speed.

Good to see that they are able to arrange for legal carry at most of the events. I remember some years ago there being an issue about that.

Joe, can you talk to Ed about having your own dedicated forum? That way you could keep us informed of NRA policy discussions, and we could give our feedback and opinions to you in a direct, dedicated place on the site. You could call it "Talk to the NRA" or something like that. Just an idea. Congratulations, Mark

... Excellent presentation by National Rifle Association - Truly professional!

Not too much different than that or our annual Las Vegas SHOT, trade shows - with the exception of the political omnipresence of the NRA. Visited nearly every purely gun-related booth. Ran into a few ARFCOMMERS and a shit-load of colleagues from work, many of which I would have never imagined to be Pro-RKBA folk.

Met uncle Ted Nugent, “Gunny” R. Lee Ermey and Todd Jarrett – seen all these guys before, but finally had the opportunity to actually chat with them about the direction of the Country today; these are our kinda people. I regret not getting the opportunity to meet Colonel Oliver North. Listened to him speak with a few of the bruthas - but I didn’t get the chance. Spent some time talking with Mark Fingar (Congratulations again, Mark!) @ the LaRue Tactical booth, got some “Dillo Dust”. Several vendors (Samco, Glock, Vltor, American Tactical Imports & Para-Ordnance) comped me free hats or shirts as I’m so damned charming. Bagged shit-loads of calendars, loading charts, and trinkets. Gave an earful to reloading components vendors, but not as severe as some guys that seriously laid into them for not getting product to consumers regularly and at a fair price. Had a great lunch & brew with a nice family (grandpa, his two sons and three grandkids) that drove over from California to enjoy a small slice of freedom for a weekend in Arizona

A fine day for this full-timed student and 50+/hr per week worker with absolutely no life or free time right now

GREAT day to be an American! Wish I had run into my good friends the Avilas (Believe it's my turn for lunch tab ), but sometimes that's kinda how these big events go

Glad to see you enjoyed the convention. The "boys" are all there, but I stayed behind. Otherwise, I would have called you to have the customary steak and beer together

Well if most people are like me they tend to skip over the main page and go right to the forums. Congratulations Joe! At least someone I voted for got into office this year!
