I thought so. I thought Kyle Lamb did a good job of explaining complex ideas in a way that even a dummy like me could understand. Covered a lot of info such as rifle set up, accessories, malfunction drills, weapon transition, mindset, ballistics, etc.

I recently got T.A.P.S. as well by Pat McNamara. Also good, but it is more specific to range drills.

You will get more out of the book, then you would out of 5 boxes of 223.

Same goes for his book on pistols.

I ordered this book with the same kind of positive feedback I'm reading here. Looking forward to it.

Great book.  Kyle is a phenominal instructor and does a great job at teaching seemingly complex ideas to those of us who try to make it complex.  I still read it once a year and remember something different each time.

It is worth it. Pretty much considered the best book out there for the carbine.

Yes! Lots of good an useful information from someone who's credentials speak for themselves. He know what he is talking about. Actually i need to pick up another copy now that I think of it. Mine is pretty worn out.

Kyle is the nicest human being ever to get paid to shoot people inthe face for a living, green eyes black rifles was a great book, but i think his stay in the fight handgun book was even better. I recently got the chance to hang with Kyle in WY for a week of shooting and hunting. Everyone YouTube Viking chronicles WY bear hunt. It's worth a look at the trailer and may even be made into a full length episode if it can generate enough activity.

Kyle is more than just a fenominal instructor with the credentials of one of the finest America has to offer, he's my buddy and has a lot of knowledge to impart.

I'm just a nobody, but also agree that it's a great book.  I built the barricade from the plans, and mounted it to the MGM Targets barricade stand.  My copy of the book fell apart at the binding very easily.  That's a publisher problem, and has no impact on the content of the book.

I just recently bought and read through this book, and will be going back to it.
It covers alot of stuff, and is just packed with photos depicting what he is describing.
His barricade training plans are on my summer schedule to build.
Does the book cover everything? No, but it covers as much as most will ever need.
There are some good reviews on Amazon where I got my copy.

For what it is, you can't beat it.

How many different barricades does he show how to construct? Are we talking just the standard 9 hole VTAC barrier or are there more?

Does he include drills to run through?

I'm going to guess that he includes the different unconventional shooting positions and that everything is pretty much "best practices" similar to what everyone is teaching these days, right?
