This course is taught by
Precision Applications, LLC and John Harrison of
Harrison Design & Consulting, LLC.
Course will be held at 3775 West Hwy 166, Carrollton? GA? 30117. Starting time is 8am and will run until approximately 5pm, both days, with a 1 hour break for lunch.
Day 1 topics will cover, but are not limited to:
-Draw stroke (with and without a covering garment)
-Reloads
-Ready positions
-Malfunction clearances
-Shooting while moving
-Use of cover
-Operating while disabled
-Multiple target engagements
-At the end of the day, all students will have an opportunity to shoot the Tactical Pistol Course for score
Day 2 will be mostly taught by John Harrison. Topics will include, but are not limited to:
-Armorer's complete disassembly and reassembly
-Key points to clean, lube and inspect for wear, damage, cracks, etc.
-Recommended tools, solvents and lubes
-Maintenance tips specific to the 1911 platform
-What modifications are worthwhile/recommended and what are not
-Recommended manufacturers of aftermarket parts
-How to properly sight a 1911 in
-How to function test a 1911
After the classroom portion on Day 2, we will go back to the range to put some of what John taught into action.
Gear list:
-1911 handgun with holster
-Minimum of 4 magazines.....more is better
-Minimum of 2 magazines available for immediate reload
-Eye and ear protection
-Hat with a front brim
-600rds of ammunition
-If your 1911 requires specific tools to disassemble, bring them
Cost of the course is $200 per student. I accept checks, money orders, cash and discrete PayPal (you pay the 3.5% fee). Your slot is not guaranteed as yours until your course fees are received. Course is limited to 20 students (2 relays of 10 each).
