Pistol Skills for the Female Shooter The purpose of this one-day course is to improve the  shooting performance through classroom exercises and partner skill-building drills in addition to intensive individually focused range work. At the end of this class, the female pistol operator will have a much higher level of understanding of the weapon system and an increased ability to deliver it efficiently and effectively. Attendees are required to bring 200 rounds total of standard pistol ammunition, 3 magazines, brimmed hat, wrap-around eye protection, ear protection. ***A water source and simple carbohydrate is highly recommended.  

Close Quarter Combatives Female attendees will learn situational awareness and tactics associated with a close assault defense, weapon delivery from close quarter configurations, weapon retention, striking techniques from standing and from the ground. Attendees should bring soft elbow and knee pads, a water source and simple carbohydrate.

About the Instructor: Retired after 22 years of police service Lou Ann Hamblin specializes in training female officers having trained over 3200 women in law enforcement in pistol alone and is a certified firearms and defensive tactics instructor in a variety of disciplines. She is a Team One Network adjunct instructor and Master Pistol Instructor through H & K's International Training Division where she served as an adjunct instructor for 7 years. Over the last 20 years Lou Ann has instructed locally and nationally in the areas of instructor development, training for specialty units and female officer survival to include presentations at: the following conferences: Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), The International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA), and The International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors (IALEFI). Lou Ann is a prior consultant and presenter with Calibre Press Women's Street Survival Seminars, of which she co-wrote.
