CCW Pistol 1 is a one-day course designed to introduce the CCW permit holder to some of the nuances of concealed carry. The round count and drills are designed to take various carry methods and concealable firearms that students use and incorporate techniques to deploy such weapons as efficiently and safely as possible. Students will find out if the advantages and disadvantages of their chosen weapons and carry methods, and armed with that knowledge will leave with a higher competency towards the responsibilities of concealed carry.
Pistol, holster and sturdy belt, two extra magazines, ear and eye protection, and 300 rounds will be needed. A list of additional useful gear will be emailed to registrants.
Pistols chambered in.22 Long Rifle such as the Ruger Mk II series (If you can find ammunition!) are also recommended along with a safe belt holster.
No holsters that use the trigger finger to release retention such as the Blackhawk Serpa will be allowed for overall safety concerns. We can assist you in locating cost efficient alternatives if need be.
