I took CSAT Tac Rifle Instructor in 2008. This AAR for Tac Pistol Instructor mirrors my experience in the rifle class.

Also took CSAT tac rifle instructor class many years back. Paul is one of a kind and a fantastic guy. Great instructor with ability to speak to folks of all backgrounds and capabilities.
The instructor class was one of the few I've taken that actually includes teaching a course to newer shooters as part of the cert. Very well done. If you go for the instructor classes, you better be able to shoot at that level going in or it will be tough sledding as Paul expects alot from his instructors. Rightfully so in my book. For the non-instructor classes, you can push yourself as hard as you want to and will walk away better no matter your ability. Facilities are top notch and he has added a bunk house on site since I've been. |

I took his instructor class and taught for the student portion. It's great stuff. A solid foundation. Make sure you do yourself and everyone else a favor - zero your rifle before you go.

I took the tac rifle operator class last November. The student instructors taught a lot of the class, but Paul was there and made sure that everything they taught was what he would do. I have been to a number of training classes and this one was definitely at the top of the list. As stated above, he has reasons for everything he teaches and will patiently explain them to you. He also provided the CD to us in the operator class. If he does an advanced rifle operator, my buddies and I are going back. Also, it's hard to believe somebody with that much experience and that proficient is as nice a guy and down to earth as he is. Most instructors with his background (and a lot without his experience) have an ego the size of Texas. Not Paul. He is good people.

i took his tac rifle class this past feb. It was my first carbine course, but it fixed alot of the issues i was having. fundamentals, fundamentals, fundamentals. Our class was taught by an army reserve unit who took the instructors course and all had mulitple tours. Paul's a down to earth guy you wont be disappointed

I was in the same class and remember the two brothers and a third guy with them that drove there in a Mercury or something like that. I partenered up with the older brother for the two days. |

+1 to what everyone else is saying. I took the instructor class a few years ago. It's not easy, but not impossible. Yes you do need to have your rifle zeroed in @ 100yds before you go. Excellent class, excellent instructor!
