FWIW the host range prohibits steel jacketed or steel core ammo. No M855 or wolf bimetal allowed.

People run Bullet Buttons and Monster Man Grips. They get good at running the gun that they have, rather than with the guns they want. Others who are LEO / SWAT, etc run guns that they are authorized to own/use. Drew

It's been done before - but it seems like a lot of .22s don't run very well. If anything, I'd use a regular rifle and then use the .22 to practice the skills and tactics you've learned in class
