FWIW the host range prohibits steel jacketed or steel core ammo. No M855 or wolf bimetal allowed.

After watching the video and seeing the distances that people are shooting at, could a shooter use a tricked out 10/22? Cheaper to operate

What are the legalities of non-Cali residents shooting this class with non-Cali guns?

No exemptions for non-Cali guns that you shouldn't be shooting anyway.

People run Bullet Buttons and Monster Man Grips. They get good at running the gun that they have, rather than with the guns they want.

Others who are LEO / SWAT, etc run guns that they are authorized to own/use.

It's been done before - but it seems like a lot of .22s don't run very well. If anything, I'd use a regular rifle and then use the .22 to practice the skills and tactics you've learned in class

e-mail Tactical Response and ask them directly - I'm pretty sure it's fine but double check.
