Tried it in the mid 2000s.  Didn't find it a solution to any problem I've encountered.  I think it was an answer in search of a problem.

Generally, shooting competitions are the place for evaluating techniques. If it wins, people will do it. If not, people toss it.

If you don't see the guys looking for that last millisecond doing it, there's a better way.

This is my point.

The generally accepted consensus is that most 3 gun guys would do very well in combat if they would learn to use cover. Meanwhile central axis relock doesn't really translate to much outside of what people that teach central axis relock say it does.

The proponents of CAR think it does everything, but it doesn't.

It's good from vehicles or even when in structures with narrow hallways and lots of corners.
