I have an 18" Cardinal Armory 6.8 and I'm thinking about taking it out to a "Designated Marksman" competition. It's a team event, max range is 600yds. I'll be shooting 115gr OTMs in the SSA Combat loads. My scope is a SS10x fixed. I have every confidence in the accuracy of the combo, but the furthest I've shot it is 300yds. Is this a bad idea?

it starts dropping a bunch after 300 or so. make sure you have your come ups calculated and tested at the longer ranges. I shoot mine at 300-500 all the time and its great once you know the drop.

According to my awesome Shooter app, my come-up at 600 is 21 mins or 84 clicks. Total adjustment in the 10x SS is 120 minutes, so I think it would be theoretically possible.
