I have used the go pro a couple of times. You really don't notice it on your head while you are running around. It would be nice if you could see through the scope though or figure out how to zoom in.

I think there are many options out there. I just used a GoPro Motorsports Hero mounted on their headband. Pretty common camera I think, I've seen them in local stores and they are all over the internet. I got the headband through a place on Ebay, but again, lots of choices. I also tried some of the cheapie micro cameras floating around for crazy cheap but the field of view is not enough to really make a good video. That is the main thing about the GoPro, or any camera you might consider I think, find something with a wide field of view. I also like the HD resolution options. Nice clear video.
I think this setup would give you everything you need. I threw together a quick video from this past week at a carbine match. The uploaded video has been compressed to make the file size smaller. The native files on my computer are much crisper. Video Anyway, just another option. |
