I do it a little differently than most... here is a good one!

I was walking in the woods of a city park and this dude starts following me. He is 50lbs heavier 4 inches taller but kinda dorky so I'm not really afraid. No matter which path I take he keeps following even when I take a 180 degree about face.

So i stop and confront him saying, "You're going this way, right? So I'm going the opposite direction." He starts in with the "I'll go wherever..." I snatch his glasses ad take off down the trail. There is a bend in the trail and I hide under some underbrush right beside the trail. He comes running by and I sweep him. Crash!

When he gets up I'm squared off with him and say I'll give him his glasses but he better run as soon as he gets them. He agrees. I give him the glasses and he starts bitching, "Alright mother..." I spinning back-kick him in the stomach and he goes down. I'm still in a fighting stance when he gets up and runs away. :P

I always resort to my martial training, with a twist.

Boxing and wrestling are martial arts, ones that have proven to be effective in MMA.

You can't write off groundfighting skills, for several reasons; you might end up of the ground despite your intentions, you might find yourself in a fight with someone you can't beat striking, or you may want to subdue someone without punching them out.

(i DO have some self control though, so i'm not gonna punch him in the trachea and collapse his windpipe... maybe...)

Also, don't get into a ground match with a CCW on your belt if you have a choice...

ETA: The guy on the right is my dad (in 1981), he instructed and competed for several years, and won the Battle of Atlanta 3 times.
I was his sparring partner later in life...

That is not your dad. That is Will Ferrell.
