I have shot one match two weeks ago, and shot the classifier tonight. Shooting CDP 198.3 to place as a novice a few seconds from MM.
I screwed up in the first stage with three complete misses and scored a 62.35, 13 points down

Second stage I did pretty good shooting a 48.84 with 8 points down

Third stage again did poorly. Mainly because I missed the far right target both times when shooting around left side of barricade score 87.11 and 22 points down

I honestly think if I shot it again right now I would shave 20 seconds off score to easily make MM

If you had three misses on stage one you would be down more than 13.  A miss is down 5.

It takes shooting it a few times to fingure out what pace works for you.

Was this at Wayne County Raccoon Hunters?  If so come out on Thursday nights for USPSA practice, it's free and a lot of fun.  Just make sure you have a few more mags/carriers compared to IDPA.

If you come out I'm the guy with the jumbo beard.
