TN section championship. Another close one but I pulled out the HOA win in Single Stack division. Had some fun on the last stage. I was attempting a risky plan and it went to pot in the middle section. My hits were the best I've had for a 300 round match. 4 D's and 43C's. Sounds like a bunch but I only had two stages with high C counts, one had 7 the other 10.

The GunWarehouse and Range indoor match:
Strong hand only is getting better. Reloads were pretty good, think I bobbled the one on the classifier. Felt like it cost me .5 sec. 57pts in 6.1 for Nuevo El Pres (partial targets). 11A, 1D. Booooo on the Delta.... The speed stage (stage 3) I shot clean, all Alpha's. That one was fun, but I still don't like metric targets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QJ7M33iEk0Y&sns=em |

BGSL match. Rifle on second stage. Trying out a CMC flat trigger, instead of my JP. So far I like it. |

Here's the latest one from the Indoor match last sunday. Single stack. 99% on the classifier (stage 3). Check out the side by side at the end. I tried two different reload sequences to see which was faster. We can shoot two divisions, I shot the skinny gun in both. Gives me a chance to try different things to see what's faster. I had a really good day. On the third stage with very tight shots, I started the first array by shooitng T3 (bottom right) and worked clockwise so I could zip the last two quick before grabbing the mag. All mags had to come from barrels.
Results from the two side by side runs: 149 0 20.32 7.3327 160.0000 100.00% 152 0 19.78 7.6845 160.0000 100.00% Video is hosted on Steel1212's youtube since mine wouldn't upload it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJMPpRFkMO0 |

USPSA version of Triple Nickel is stage one. 3.65. .91 first shot with a 1.2 shot to shot reload. Pretty good for me in a match.

This is one of my favorite threads! Awesome videos!
I'm about to acquire my first handgun and have already found a local club to start shooting competition with. Your videos show alot of useful things! How to run, where you point the gun while doing so, corners and stuff. The instant replay shot was badaaaasss! You look rock solid pulling those fast strings! Big thanks to you and your camera man for putting these together! I've been by my dads side through 4 (!!!) back surgeries over 15 years. I'd hate to compete against you once they fix you up! Even hurting, still kicking major ass! Keep it up and more vids! Awesome shooting! |

Thanks. Video is one of the best training tools. What may "feel" fast might not be. What "feels" slow, might be FAST. Especially the movement. That's one of the biggest things most shooters can improve on. My shooting buddy pulls the trigger faster than I do, I can keep up on longer stages with my movement.
I think I just made GM in Single Stack div, next update that is. USPSA just updated 4 days ago and I am at 94.68. I needed to replace an 86% with an 89% and I shot a 92% on sunday. That should do it. |

USPSA updated classifications today. Single Stack GM 95.56%
As my buddy said, "Now you can quite worring about and just shoot." |

Alabama Match. This was an opportunity to learn from two World Champions, Blake Miguez and Travis Tomasie. It's one thing to watch from the back, it's another to shoot 9 stages with them. I changed from Single Stack to Limited division so I could use the entire match as training. Things I learned: I need to pick up some speed on longer distance splits, still need to speed up close range hoser transitions but at least my foot speed is close to where it should be. Also picked up a few stage break down tips too. That was HUGE for me.
It was an amazing experience. Best stage for me was a 3rd on stage 3 (fourth stage in vid), the 36 round stage. 96% of Manny Bragg and just behind Travis. Although I had the quickest time on the stage, I dropped just a few too many points. I didn't have a lot of trigger time on the new 5.5 before this match but I honestly never really noticed the gun in my hands. It is in fact better than my 6" gun! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruj0eRramPQ |

13th at Single Stack Nationals. Had a couple of bobbles, but shot clean...no penalties. Worst "I can't believe I just did that" mistake, going from stage 4 to 5. We shot them back to back. Somehow failed to put a magazine back in the gun. That right there cost a top 10 finish. Doh! On the plus side, I was just 56 match points behind Max Michelle Jr.

Ohio state championship. 2nd overall in L10, by 1 point. Ouch. I had a good match with 5 stage wins but I opened the door with a few penalties.
