Not making it this year. Teammates decided to (1) go on his honeymoon, (2) take his kids to Disney World. I just don't understand them anymore.......
Glanced at the weather. Should be one of the better weeks. I assume CMP week is booked solid again? |

Piccolo,
I stopped by yesterday and today after the Presidents match. I had a chance to see your setup, but I must have missed you both times. Looks like you are having fun. Nice looking antenna setup. I am, unfortunately done with the nationals, maybe next year... |

How has the weather been this week? I've been following the scores and am seeing some impressive (or maybe depressing, depending on you perspective) numbers. Winds staying fairly calm?

Weather was sunny with light winds all week except for Tuesday morning when a squall line came through about 6AM. Rained itself out and the wind died down right before first shot. I never put more than a couple mins. on all week and fired many at 600 with only a half or so. Mirage and direction changes bit about everyone. Found Piccolo Wed. evening at his command post, got to see his setup and fancy shooting pants.
Thanks for the cold beer Pic, will see if I can scrounge a bigger solar panel and stuff for ya at the shop. Ron ![]() |

Pic,
Just wanted to say: "THANK YOU" for representing ham radio to the national match shooters and for representing the national matches/shooting sports/2A to the ham radio operators. It clearly wasn't easy and you definitely needed help, but carried on like a trooper. If there will be a ham station next year, there needs to be a sign up sheet for operators and/or food/drink/supply donations. Maybe a local Ohio ham club can help out??? I gotta imagine they would find it very interesting, to say the least. Thank you again!!!! |
