That is if my Geissele SR ever shows up... Thanks for any info. It'd be legal. NRA/CMP coat rules are pretty wide open. |

You also might have to sew straps on it to snug it up.

Odds are your smallbore jacket was built to meet ISU standards, which are far more strict than anything in the US.
If it was an NRA smallbore jacket, it would look more like a highpower jacket (cinching straps, etc.) and even then I doubt you'd have a problem. The kind of stuff highpower allows in jackets is pretty ridiculous when you look at it from a smallbore or even international 300m background. It makes it much more of an equipment game (and explains why a lot of highpower guys can't transition over well). Interestingly, the current rules restrict pants that offer too much support, but I see nothing at all about restriction on coats (hence the hardbacks, etc.) http://www.nrahq.org/compete/RuleBooks/HPR/hpr-book.pdf Hopefully, someone here can link to the specific coat requirements, if there are any. I didn't see them in that current rule book I linked to. |

The only rule I remember was for the shoulder strap was a no go, but that rule may have changed
