Shot my first match last weekend, shot a 622-3x on the 80 shot course but had a ball! Shot my 69 SMK's over 24.8 or r15 with good results. Definitely need to work on technique in the offhand and sitting

It's a lot of fun, isn't it?

Pretty soon you'll be shooting a match almost every weekend!

I shot my 101st match last weekend. I still need to work on my offhand.

Check CMP website I think there a couple clubs around there that do service rifle matches.

Fine score for a first match. Addictive isn't it!

It's easier after shooting a few matches, you get into your routine better each time. That was the main problem I had at first, being disorganized and having to rush. Now I nap during prep.

Building a good cart the way I wanted helped a ton. I just used an old GI folding stool, made an axle, put on some 8" rubber tires and attached an old canvas square pouch I had to the front for storage and screwed it on top and bottom to hold the stool from folding up. Added other accessories as I went. Got about 30 bucks into it.
