THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT
For the past few months I've been looking to buy an M1903A3 to shoot in the CMP Matches. I've been making low bids on Gunbroker hoping for a break, but they all went for more than I wanted to pay. I wasn't looking for a collector rifle since I would have the rifle rebarreled with a new Criterion barrel and CMP stock set. After great personal struggle, having read mixed reviews on the AIM 1903A3's, I pulled the trigger and ordered one.

I know they are reconditioned drill rifles (Gibbs Rifle Co.) and that is fine as long as it is safe. The rifle I received looks outstanding! The only imperfections I found were on the left side of the receiver by the ON/OFF lever, where the weld had been removed. As you can see in the pictures it has a new (RR 2012) 4-grove barrel and a new stock. Fit and finish are outstanding and I'm looking forward to some range time this weekend to see how it shoots.

So far, I'm very pleased.

That is a great looking gun. I love 03A3's.

Looks great. Now all that is needed is ammo and a set of solid zeros and off to the Matches.

I just bought one for the same purpose. Another excuse to shoot more highpower. I figured these would be the best choice instead of spending the cash to upgrade a WWII issue. In my experience Joe dosent take uber care of his weapons lot of cleaning rod damage. Not there faut they were in combat. cant tell you how many m-16"s and 240's I beat up till I knew better. Should be in by wednesday and I already have some rounds loaded to see what works.

Good looking rifle. I have been thinking about getting one as well.

Dave, you going to be up at Perry this year?

I signed up for the Pistol SAFS, but may get up there for some rifle events as well since I just a couple hours away now.
