THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Most of the rules say you can't modify from original factory configuration to remain in tact class. However, what if we have a home brewed rifle? Mine doesn't have anything exotic. Just a Timney trigger, UBR stock, Troy 13" rail, Vortex 1-4x scope.
Also, I'm running a Springfield XD with a Powder River Precision match trigger; does that put me in open?
Thanks- I'm just getting my feet wet in 3 guns

That is still considered "factory configuration".....it doesn't mean you have to keep the gun stock....as long as your mods are within the rules for tac. division (like a comp no longer than 3" etc...) then your fine
General things that will put you in open: Rifle: More than 1 optic A comp outside the regulation size (3" long 1" wide) Pistol: Compensator Optic Sight Shotgun: Porting/comp Loading more shells than allowed for division (8+1 for USPSA) adding a loading device (speed loader to the loading port) |
