Good read... thanks.
BTW, I gave a class to 12 citizens and the topic... ROOM ENTRY/CLEARING (2-day class) with Active Shooter Response Considerations...
It was done mainly due to me knowing most of the guys and they expressed an interest in seeing what it was like. We had a pure blast doing it and it was true eye-opener for the guys. Avoiding the "blue-on-blue" during building clearing was another great eye-opener and source of OH SHIT! It was a fun way to make $1,800 for the weekend. I've actually done two of these classes and both were a great success.
Many found the Active Shooter Response Considerations extremely informational in the context of what to do and what not to do if ever placed in such a situation while at work or out in public.
The information provided was informative yet not critical for LE sensitivity issues. Besides, there's tons of information out there on the topic anyway. I see nothing wrong with BASIC adventure-type topics but I agree... shooting and rolling out of a car...
