I want to do some jethro reactive targets using hanging one gal. bleach jugs w/colored water; how full should
I fill them to get the maximum 'sploshin with 55gr FMJ's? # of shots to empty jug is up to shooter, but
not an unlimited # of rounds.

part of the course of fire is breaking those, some clays & jugs must be drained to stop
the time.  thanks

The bullet has to hit below the fluid level, so either be sure your POI is below the fluid level or fill the jugs to the cap.

Very small targets - drive a small roofing nail into a golf ball, tie a string to the nail, tie the string to a tree limb or anything that will let it hang down.

Soda cans of water.

Soda bottles of different sizes with strings tied around the neck and hung up, or sitting on posts, blocks, the ground, etc.

Sounds like lots of fun.

Full gallon jugs of water explode pretty well with M193/.223.

Try them full first and see how it goes.
