After talking about it with some friends I decided to bring the topic here: most people have an impractical or strange or just different gun that they want or even have, there's no real use for it, maybe the ammo is obsolete and not made or it was never a popular model to begin with but for whatever reason you want it or have it and like it. So what's the strange impractical gun you've always wanted, not including machine guns anyway.

We debated if heirlooms like that counted, obviously a rifle like that is something that regardless of actual value is priceless to you. I have an old Remington 550-1 that's I received from a family friend who is basically another grandparent, it may only be worth a couple hundred at best, I wouldn't sell it for any amount.

Sorry to hear this.  Another cartridge for the history books.  When I was researching my first Glock I found a complete upper for a 17 in 45GAP, but passed it up.

How easily can you find ammo for it?

Swiss Vetterli 41 caliber. Converted to centerfire and I make cases out of 348 winchester and cast the bullets. I like old weird guns.

Oh and I have a Martini Henry because Zulu.

A 6.5 Carcano. An old model with gain twist rifling. At some point in its history, the barrel was cut to carbine length. The results are every shot keyholes. Nice conversation piece.
