Aint no way you can mistake a human for a deer at 100 yards... The article mentioned a 270, Id bet it even had a scope on it

Without knowing any specific details, can you imagine accidentally (negligent yes, stupidity yes, but not deliberately murdering) shooting someone, let alone you own Father?

Things like this have happened since the beginning of time, only fuels those that would deprive us.

Guy i work with is from Sandy Creek, says he knows the father who was shot and killed. He called and talked to his mother back in Sandy Hook and she didn't have any details on the incident at all. All she told him was that the son had just come back from Iraq not long ago after being deployed.

Hunting accidents happen but shooting at something without being 100% of what you're shooting at should not happen. Now he has to live with that the rest of his life. Sad season so far, with several deaths already.

I have no idea outside of outright stupidity how this would happen. How do you aim down the sights of a rifle and pull the trigger not being able to ID your target 110%!? No reason for this

Google still has nothing new on this. .270 riifle. Scoped ? From a tree stand. Shot in chest. Nothing said about blaze orange that I could find. Accidental ?
