Whose lawsuit(s)?
I was under the distinct impression that we were withholding any cases since the questionable death of Scalia. He was the constant tipping factor in a pro-2A/Constitutional applying Court; with it being 4-4 a tie results in the Law standing. 
IF it goes to SCOTUS, any and all Firearms bans could not only be upheld, but increased in scope and application.....already other cases are being overturned in anticipation of Barry's blessing and hildabeast's coronation. It's ALL coming to a big pus-filled head that just aching for a little outside pressure to spew over everybody's Parade.

Seeing the rulings that came out today, I feel relieved that SCOTUS is turning down Second Amendment cases. There was a 4-4 and a 4-3 (not sure who recused themselves). Not good odds.
If the November election plays out like most people who are not living in a fantasy world think it will, the Senate Republican's would be smart to confirm Obama's nominee because the ones after that are going to be much worse. |

I am really bummed. I just don't see it ever getting any better here. We are infringed and our rights are most likely gone forever. Semi-auto ban and microstamping won't be far behind. This state is doomed. I can't hold out hope any longer.

In the cycles of politics, this is peak socialism.
Hang in there, and things will get reversed. Just don't look for a hero on a white horse to save you. It takes a country of patriots, and they need to be forged by the hammer of oppression. We need to be beat on, unfortunately, to become a great people again. What is happening now, is the training program for all the fat, happy, spoilt children a century of good times has created. Gun owners are just ahead of the curve. I regret and fear what we are going to go through to get back to freedom, but it may not be as bad as some have forseen. |

Its a shame i have to come back up to NY at the end of Aug to close my pool since my two kids haven't done it. Its a completely different world down here than nys. With a planned two year time frame for the exit, I suspect the EU is going to put forth a proposal in the next several months to give the UK a lot of what it wants in exchange for staying in the EU. I just do not think they will just sit by and let it all start to fall apart. The EU is in need of major reform of their system and a lot of bureaucrats in Brussels need an education on empathy for the average citizen. Plus learning that taxpayer money is not "free". |

There in lies the reason why NYSRPA and the NRA decided to withhold presentation before SCOTUS: Were the Bans/Laws to be upheld, quickly would other categories and classifications be added not only at the State level, but Federally as well* A win is always great, but seldom is the end result of skirting the Law/Ruling what those seeking relief what they bargained for....Look at Chicago, or Washington DC If we loose, we loose big with intended and unintended consequences yet to be descoved.
* A Federal Law (think AW ban) would force generally non-complying States uninterested in an AW Ban to adopt the Law same as other confiscatory and restrictive Laws such as the NFA of 1934, the GCA of 1968, and the Assault Weapons ban of 1994 |
