His address doesn't necessarily prohibit him from being able to purchase it. Maybe he has a camp, or a relative's house where he keeps his hunting things.

He will have a card on him if he has a long gun license. However proceed as a sale to contiguous state. Not your job to enforce NYC laws

NYC long gun permit is all about possession residing within the borders of NYC with the firearm. If he never takes it back to NYC, he'll never violate any laws.

I guess you could be kind and just remind him he can't take it home without a NYC license...NYC residents buy outside of NYC regularly and either don't bring it home, don't know about the law or have the license.

NYC permit is for possession within city limits, there is no permit needed for purchase.
If a permit holder decides to bring a gun into the city, he has three days to fill out and mail in the registration form. |
