I can't wait until I can celebrate Independence from New York Day!  

I told myself to not think too much of our current state of "independence".  Because then it would be like :  yay!  We celebrate the scraps of freedom that our masters have determined that we are allowed to use.  For now.

Amen.  I bet 90% of Americans view the holiday as nothing more than an excuse to drink, BBQ and watch fireworks.  But the other 10%, the true Patriots, know freedom isn't free.  It wasn't won with lawsuits or sarcastic tweets.  Our freedom was won by Patriots shooting our enemies in the face and kicking their asses out of our country!  God Bless every one of them, past and present, and those who stand ready to do so again.
