Gentlemen,

If you live in the Hudson Valley, NYC, LI, watch out for the blizzard that's supposed to arrive on Monday night and will last 24 hrs. This is probably not a big deal for our Buffalo friends, but the meteorologists are predicting serious snow accumulations - up to 2'. Should be fun.

This.

Parts of this state get snow like that a half a dozen times a season.  It's just called "winter."

Bill DeBlasio is on TV say that this could be the biggest snow storm NYC has ever seen. I highly fucking doubt that. Great way to start a panic.

If you are flying into the NYC metro area, change your flight now, if you haven't already done so due to cancellations.

It takes wayyyyy less snow to screw up LI. 6 inches there would be like 2 feet upstate.

And I'm sure it's an inconvenience for the 14 people who live there.
But when it's 20 million people in the Tri state metro area, it's a slightly different issue.

This is not fair, I live in Northern Ohio, you guys get all the snow.  We always get the "tail end" of winter storms/blizzards, which only amounts to a couple of inches.  We haven't had a good blizzard since 78.

Depends on when it falls.  Late day evening?  No snow day.  1AM to 3 AM? 1 to two hour delay.  After 4 AM snowday

In my corrupt little village, it took four days for them to plow my street in the big storm two years ago.  And I'm right off the main drag.
They must have been busy plowing and then repaving the mayors street.

For downstate and NYC it's all hype. The storm center moved north and east and we're not getting anything like what they forecast.
