How in the blue fuck would this be legal?

His argument is probably based on retractable vs. protruding. Either way, NY politicians will hammer him because it makes it easy to "handle the rifle". BTW, I don't have time warner so I couldn't view or open the video.

Think of it this way: in simplistic terms, "no grip" makes it legal, then installing one makes it illegal....right?
Well from what I'm seeing that's the case here; "no grip" with it retracted, and has one when ready for use...Just how dumb do you think the Jurors at the Trial will be?
Besides, that MSR shown is already illegal under un-SAFE (unless it was registered before the deadline, and legal before then)

When the cops come you collapse it quick and start whistling.

Fucker stole my idea. I was days away from a press conference to announce my collapsable compliant flash hider.

Can't watch the video... does it auto-retract with a spring or something?

No, I don't think so.  It looks like shit and does, indeed, "protrude conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon" unless it is collapsed.  I can't see how anyone could interperet it as NY safe-act legal unless you are a total dumbass.

And yeah, as someone above pointed out, the dudes weird beard is creepy as fuck.

I had not watched the video so I was at a loss to understand this comment.  I definitely agree now.  I know looks are not supposed to matter (look at Donald Trump for example) but I might take him a bit more seriously if he didn't look like he should be on an old Daguerreotype from the Civil War.

Regardless, I would run from this invention as fast as I could.  I agree with another poster here that no jury is going to acquit on what is obviously a protruding grip when extended.

Ahem... I would like to point out that a "pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously" but NOT BELOW the action is legal.

Like when the pistol grip is below the barrel, not the action. As in a bull pup like the AUG or Tavor.  The FS 2000 has a thumbhole stock.

Anyone selling a Tavor without a flash hider?

didn't watch the video, but the still pic that it shows as a place holder looks ugly, and the 30 round mag is illegal too unless internally blocked.

Isn't the fore-grip a no-no, though?

I like your direction but I don't see that one working. Action and receiver are synonymous to a jury.

I doubt they know what a receiver is, and, at any rate, words in law have meaning that cannot be discounted. The clever little legislative aids who wrote this shit for their socialist fuck masters said "bellow" the action, so they must have meant below, not behind or in front of, or above or under the barrel.

Someone with a Tavor is innocent until proven guilty, and I don't think they would be. Prince Andy does not want more bad publicity.

NRA , are ya listening? IMI?

No, they aren't, but NYSRPA is and will add the tid-bit to the soup pot.
The NRA has it's hands full with Washington, and as many have said "NY is a lost cause" but that in itself shouldn't stop us from continuing the fight....Sending your annual membership dues in, then kicking back to let others do it for you will not accomplish the mission.

How's it shoot without the foregrip then?  Can't figure you'd get a good hold on it up front without it.

Frankly the AR style stock is better labelled "adjustable" rather than collapsible.  Collapses has the implication its not useable when collapsed, when in reality an AR style stock is useable and really only traverses back and forth a few inches - say if you were wearing different layers of clothing in different seasons you would find in NY.

So is an adjustable stock for Ooverall length justifyable - seems logical, but logic goes out the window with the safe act.

It's a law written by the uneducated (on the issue) for the willfully ignorant. We don't count, remember "there is no place in NY for them"

I like it. I don't think that has a pistol grip at all; it's more of a 'spade grip'. Like this:

The M2HB doesn't have pistol grips. Those are considered spade grips. Hopefully we just stumbled onto the UNSAFE Loophole.
