I say let them break quarantine, but if they do and end up getting ebola they don't get treatment, just placed in isolation to die for being a jackass

Not stupidity but selfishness.
What I cannot reconcile is that she traveled to a third world country to treat patients, both of which involve significant risk, but she can't be bothered to quarantine herself upon return. First act seems selfless and the later selfish.

As someone else pointed out in another forum, now that her name is national news and her actions are showing a clear lack of judgment, her future career in nursing is questionable at best. ... it was also pointed out, however, that one of the attorneys involved in her suit (Siegel) is known to be friendly with the White House ... and O doesn't want the quarantines. Read into that what you will.

Generally speaking, I'm not totally against the idea of a quarantine.
Having said that, what are going to do if the disease does make it over here? How many of us on this forum are in EMS, the FD or a LEO, the sort of people who are going to have first contact with the patients? How about the ER nurses and doctors who are going to be sitting on these patients while trying to get them moved to an approved quarantine facility? If every single one of us gets quarantined after a patient contact if the disease becomes widespread over here, pretty soon there's going to be no one left to answer calls or take care of the non-Ebola patients. |

How about being under house arrest for three weeks because you sat next to someone that might have had a disease.
Most cannot hunker down for three days let alone three weeks: food, finances, and friends run out fast.
