There doesn't seem to be enough positive response to a southern zone hunt to make it worth while

I have to work the southern zone opener. If anybody has any 7f doe tags later in the season, I would offer to get an arfcom deer drive together. Toad Harbor area. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

The coyotes need to thinned out also! |

If I'd had my head on I'd have applied for DMPs to mail back to you guys. Too late now.

There is a small park about 1/4 mile from my home, with a covered pavilion. I imagine we could have a little hot food and toddies after the hunt. I don't think mrs. Magluva would go for a bunch of soaked, foul mouth, tinks 69 smellin' dudes in the house. I know the season isn't that long. Would the Saturday after thanksgiving be wrong? Nov. 29? Or the following Saturday? |

On Nov 1st I will be on a flight to Miami to visit my mother and sister then on Nov 4 I meet with EdB and mag162 and we go to Key largo on a fishing expedition

I prefer the following Saturday, but do not plan anything special just for me - hockey season is demanding on us taxi drivers. I know the Saturday after Thanksgiving is bad. I'll try to grab an extra 7f for someone if I can't go.

Stopped into the Central Square Walmart this morning and seen they finally got guns in stock, they also had some Rem .22's for 4.78 a box with no limit, passed on those. What I did score was two doe tags for 7f, now have two 7f, a 7a and an 8f, gonna fill the freezer, maybe lol...

Have an area in 7A that is probably my best chance to fill a tag

This would please Miss Buckshot as I would have to clean and organize the garage for accommodations of said meeting! |

I'm good with that. I shall try to save a couple 7F tags. (I love having junior hunters in the house.)

41magluva and possible guest
Buckshot429 Highspeedforlife Penrod XDonX3 and possible guest(s) Ed Sr....you still interested? If anyone else wants to hunt, don't be shy! We got plenty of tags to fill, both antlered and antlerless. Just bring rubber boots or waders, and a fast handling shotgun or rifle. A debriefing of our assassination mission will be held in buckshot's garage. |

Ok. Seeing as how it's going to take time to set up, let's meet at 0930 hrs. Location to be in IM.

Beer is on ice, gonna make the chili as soon as I find the crockpot. Fire up the heater to warm up the garage. Now all that we need is a pile of deer and some good stories to go with it!

It is raining like hell here. I hope you guys get out of the field before the rain reaches you
|
|
Rained all day. But it didn't matter - we had waders on! But mine were soaked from my duck hunting swimming adventure earlier this year. Found some deer that had been shot and left, saw some swamp buck tracks, a few trees that a bear or sasquatch had gotten to, and then called it.
|
|
I had fun, it was good exercise, slogging through thigh deep swamp. I am very grateful to Buckshot429 for inviting us and making yummy chili.
|
|
I must say Buckshot429 is a top notch host with a very respectable man cave.
The amount of venison products there was awesome. |
|
It was a good day even in the rain! Gonna have to invest in some waders, sinking almost waist deep in the swamp with just knee high boots on was a little cold. Glad you guys enjoyed the chili, thanks to 41mag and penrod for the very tasty venison products as they were the successful ones this year. And thanks to highspeed for bringing the buckshot for buckshot!

View Quote As for the upgrades I was talking about for the man cave I seen this posted on KROCK's facebook today and it has given me some good ideas. http://www.sunnyskyz.com/blog.php?blogid=574%2FThis-Guy-Spent-100-Turning-A-Basement-Room-Into-A-Rustic-Cabin-Getaway |

I'm heading out tomorrow. Would make plans with you but it might be chilly tomorrow - don't want you to get cold.
|
|
Will be out tomorrow in Cayuga County - snow is over 2 ft in most places. Will be sitting, I think driving will be slow and induce those nasty hamstring cramps.
Should be a fun day! and Buckshot, like the planned man cave additions. |
