And we were stoked to have 12,000 at the un-SAFE rally in Albany.

These people make me want to

Agree JW, it's a struggle to get gun owners to get off their asses and go to Albany. Radical groups have motivated members, unlike pro 2A groups who struggle.

You mean to tell me there is an excuse the unsafe act didn't fire up 6 million New York gun owners?????? And they didn't stay pissed until November 2014 elections?????

Good time to build a brick wall around that disgusting vile country and open the flood gates.

Nope, there's no excuse at all. Everyone should be beating down the doors to the polling places come election day.

FUAC!

And what exactly do these "fired up" 300,000 socialists hope to get?  With some 500 buses bringing people in, I have to believe they were paid to show up.  I'm just not smart enough to make the connection to what these people get/earn for burning a day to show up for this crap.

New York gun owners, most of them anyway, are entirely too complacent.  It's pathetic.  Sometimes I think that I'd be the only one shooting back if some friggin ISIS jihadis ran through the streets trying to slaughter Americans and chop heads off.

You wouldn't be a the only one if you lived on my street. But I get what you're saying. It pissed me off how many people I actually reminded with my friendly "remember to go vote in the primaries" text messages.  I realized that I effectively got a dozen votes for the cause by sending out texts to friends and family the day of elections.  I'm gonna get some signs from the Astorino camp and put them around the area. The Southern Tier is an area that easily goes either way in an election and I want to make sure it goes the right way.

A dozen is a good number. Thank you for that. We will prevail.

I am currently reading a great book about the Russian Civil War. The author analizes how the communists finally prevailed over a number of other groups. I have to tell you, blood was flowing like a river back in those days. And the useful idiots, similar to those marching " against the climate change" today, got slaughtered like cattle. These people have no idea what socialism means and how it would affect them and their families. Fuck them.

It's a lot easier to find time to protest when being a protestor is your only job.

I'm reading in today's News about some cunt in New Humpshire saying how the "warming will destroy the maple syrup industry". Does this piece of shit, lying scumbag remember the winter we just had?  And what's predicted for this winter.
They enrage me.  And Robert Kennedy Jr. calling for a carbon tax.

From a sarcastic standpoint, if they were running through the streets of NYC would it really be worth the effort to stop them?  Those are very folks who preach tolerance and tell us we should give up owning firearms for the children.

I m all for the Carbon tax on every Democrap that promotes it. I would say 90% tax on what they own. Plus i want to see Wind farms sitting off the Kennedy and Kerry castles in MA instead of the wind farms being taken down due to bird kills.

Those people reportedly came from all over the world. Has anyone stopped to think how much they contributed to destroying the atmosphere with their travel and breathing? Maybe they should eliminate both (you know, to save the planet).

The global warming folks are in agonal respirations.  This was part of the last gasp.  Prominent scientists from MIT to NASA have heavily criticized the movement and the models used.  They will turn to fatal rhetoric, be ignored, and fade away.

ETA:  The support of global warming g initiatives at the UN is nothing more than an attempt at a shakedown towards the U.S. and Western Europe.  Everyone else will get a pass and the coffers for redistribution will be full of dollars and Euros again.

The "designers" of this rally are painting the manufacturing as being "Capitalists"  polluting the World: well go visit China for a month, then compare it with the United States: If a company were to discharge pollutants into the air/water/ground the EPA would shutter them in days...look at all the Coal fired electricity plants closed down with their discharge being steam. There IS a larger, more sinister agenda behind this rally using angry, ill-informed people with good intentions....I'll wager those in attendance don't depend on a "Capitalist" manufacturing facility to earn a living.

Dippy daughter of a friend is a "college" activist/useful idiot in this.   Barely out of high school and knows it all and bases it on her quality education that you and I paid for.  Changed from Drama to Environmental major.  The socialists have co-opted that too.

We've all seen the blatant indoctrination materials that they call textbooks.  They don't teach history anymore, they teach socialist agenda.  These socialists have burrowed like ticks into the system and pretty much taken it over.  Why do you think they wanted the common core crap and all things to be controlled at the Federal level?  Now that they almost got it, it's so F'd up that even the teachers want nothing to do with that horseshit.  Funny until they lose freedom to do what they want in their classroom.   I am all for defunding schools, letting the parents keep the money and let them pay a private school to educate them.  Capitalism works.  Before the 80's the Christian schools were the place to send your kids too because of the quality of education.  Even for non Christians.  Not so much anymore due to the money differential between public and private schools.

I am sure I don't understand all the common core background and hands behind the curtains but it does truly suck looking at their product.

No, the problem is democracy where the majority wins, which is what of Government has evolved into since the Constitution was relegated as the ramblings of old white men living  two centuries ago.  We were born into a Republic and as Franklin best describe as "two wolves and a sheep discussing what to have for lunch."  Now its which "Party" has control over Congress and the Presidency.

I wouldn't even say it's the majority, it's the most vocal and shrill and they're motivated to vote (again and again apparently).

If we can't even have a legitimate voting system that can minimize fraud we don't have much.    I'm all for long term imprisonment for voting more than once.

To be fair these guys had tons of hand printed yard signs all over the place advertizing the event, as opposed to the few flyers, signs in the gun shop for the Allbony rally.

ETA: GD thread articles are calling it 100k turnout.

Guess those signs didn't make it up our way and there were signs for the rally. This article this morning was the first I heard about it. It was on talk radio quite a bit throughout the day.
