Seriously guys, This is what I've read that gives me comfort either way it goes tomorrow. Thank you for all the well wishes and I'll update when I get a chance tomorrow.

Well , made it thru the surg and I'm recovering at home.
The boy is so hay to have me home he was at my side until bed time. The cath went off without a hitch and I was awake the whole time. Now the results were mixed. There are no blockages within the heart, so it means I have an enlarged heart that has a weak atrium. How this happened is u for debate. It may be lack of O2 while sleeping or possibly a viral infection. More tests to be run for both cardio and pulmonary studies. And about 9 days of new meds will be tweaked to see if the heart will heal itself. Sorry no gear slits this time!

Thanks again guys. Looks like it'll take time to see how things go. Either the heart muscle will cone back on it's own, or I I'll have permanent damage and another course of action will need to be taken.

Thank you all for your prayers and support while my husband was in the hospital. His ejection fraction was only around 15% (pretty low and dangerous if not rectified). Our GP has taken him out of work for 3 months until they do a repeat Echo to see if there are any changes. At this point the only thing they can do is medicate and monitor. it is hard for ADK1 not knowing the why or exact reasoning for what is happening...but he is being good. I am doing my best to keep us on a low sodium diet and make sure all his meds are taken (lol). We do a BP check once a week to see how the meds are affecting him and he has lots of appointments with all the specialist coming up.
If there is no change, he may have to have surgery. Our prayers and hopes are that this is not the case. Once again...thank you all. |
