Lucky that the SEIU turned tail, most of "our" folks don't look like they would brook any BS.

Great work guys. Can't wait for the media to make it look like there were only 15 people there...

Hey Jed did you end up making it to the rally today? I really wanted to be there, but it just wasn't happening today. My 5 month old daughter has been sick.

You gonna make it to the meeting on the 7th?

Eta: any of the Avilas make it today?

Here are the pics I took today. Please forgive the quality and appearance, was the first time I've tried the panoramic picture option.

I was in the center of the lawn, about 40 feet back from the guest speakers.

Had my gadsden flag, heard the shout out for ar15.com, saw the FO and HTF signs

They announced between 8,000-10,000 in attendance. I honestly think there were at least 10,000 there. Even outside of the lawn area, people were standing in mass on other streets and on stairs.

Pics were taken around 10:00am, 11:00am and 1:00pm- to show the difference.

I was there about 2 hours.

I was looking for you HK, this is as close as I got, check out the NY HTF sign in the middle :)

Vid didn't come out too great, but I caught everyone shouting "Cuomo must go!"

Photo taken from the capital steps around 11:30am, so, even more were to arrive.

I was on the south side of the park, since I arrived a little bit later than most.  It was as close as I could get after finding parking.

I am very partial to the Cuomo = Hitler references, as I find them very apropos

And finally, this is what I was flying, 15 feet high on a homemade, portable flagpole:

Odds are the liberal media won't even mention it, since it doesn't fit their agenda.

Was there any sign of cuomo's anti-protest squad? ..or were all the buses filled up with arfcom members?

Hey Capt! It was jammed packed up front - glad you could make it though, definitely worth it!
Some pics - first couple are from the inside concourse area leading directly into the Legislative Office Building.  The line was unbelievable!

I saw that sign as I was leaving.

It was a great rally and a wonderful turnout.  Lots of great speakers and I was happy to see my Aunt  speak.

Just got home.  I will post pics as soon as I reload on coffee.  Glad to have met one of you, albeit a few seconds.  Wish I had boots instead of wingtips today.

Now were those boxes of free donuts loaded with 7 or 12 donuts?

Truly incredible turnout. I really wish I could have attended. YNN was covering it in their hourly news cycle where I am.

pvc1984 I will be at the March 7th meeting.

Red Hats are simply citizens that were helping out with the event. Guides, etc.

I literally had a front row seat for the event! All 55 of the Remington Crew were escorted to the front of the speakers area.

ADK47 took some photos of us giving the politicians hell down in the well of the LOB.

it was packed shoulder to shoulder up front during the rally outside!

PS We have quotes in thew Utica paper!REMINGTON EMPLOYEES JOIN RALLY

Remington Arms employee: Do you know why we're here?

It was a good rally.  Need to double it or better next time.

Just don't stay at the Albany Hilton, not a great place to stay.

This was truly a great event. I was inspired by our Assemblymen (and women) and Senators who spoke, because it has been a long time since I've heard politicians speak so passionately about our rights. Unfortunately, only a handful. Nevertheless, Cuomo was handily bitch-slapped by a few of them. Unlike Skelos, that took balls (and NOT blue ones).

It was nice to meet HKgunner, ARtraffic and Tomcat017!! I have some movie footage I took with my Contour Roam, and as soon as I download some software, I'll post it.

Good show NY!!!

ETA - post a pic

I saw it too. It was actually an accurate report, and not a veiled editorial. I really glad we beat the crowd for Spitzer's inauguration!!

It was unbelievable!

Estimate of 160 Buses

8000 Expected

100 Buses from all over the state

5000 Opponents at rally

I just walked around with my banner held up high and circled the area until I decided that I did not want to fight NYC traffic.
I was unable to get near the center of the crowd, where HTF was hanging out.

This was one of the most inspiring acts of patriotism I've ever been witness to.  So my only question is... when's the next rally!!!???

Valiant effort Bill!! The best part for me was walking down the street and in the buildings with my sign, where the uninterested were going about their daily grind. It sparked some good supporting conversations with non-gun owners. I'm sure you reached those who are indifferent as well, which is what we need to do more of! This is about rights, the destruction of which is indifferent to all citizens!

This amount of people showed up in February.

I'm thinking if there was one when the weather was nice...probably 30,000 people easy.
