THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT My answer was No. My comments were: Laws are only obeyed by the law abiding citizens that do not pose a threat to public safety. Criminals will not obey laws; if the law against murder does not deter a person, neither will the laws against obtaining and using firearms for illegal purposes. The best way to stop mass shootings is a responsible, armed citizenry that can stop such murderers in their tracks. All mass shootings in the US since at least the 1950s, where 3 or more people were killed, have occurred in gun free zones (except one). The criminals go where they can inflict the most damage with the least possibility of being stopped, while law-abiding citizens obey the laws preventing them from carrying concealed firearms that would otherwise allow them to defend themselves and other innocent people. Gun control is NOT the answer. Instead, harsher sentences for criminals who commit crime with firearms and a responsible, armed citizenry will do much more to prevent mass shootings. |

I wonder what they'll do to prevent using their own poll? 97% against gun control laws and 3% for it.

Just added my 2 cents
I still can't believe that people think that more "Gun control" will prevent crime! When is everyone going to wake up and realize that in the real world, the criminals do not care about law!!!!! People still will murder, even if they know they will get the death penalty!! stricter laws will never stop crime. If any of these laws worked, than we would never have to keep our doors locked to our homes, and cars.Stop letting these lawyers help their criminal defendants bargain for lesser charges, especially when it's a crime with a firearm. Some of us are not stupid, and we know for fact that this happens all the time!! Stop punishing the law abiding citizens of this nation. People drink, and drive every day, and kill, and with all the laws against that, it has done no good for the public. |

Lets hope this surge of voices speaking up for our 2a rights keeps going, because once the zero gets re-elected, and we know he is, lets not fool ourselves After all he will now have nothing to loose.
Hopefully his constituents will talk him down off of his high horse, because I would hope they will remember they will still have to run in the next election, and furthermore will remember what happened to them after the Clinton ban |

You're right on - he's definitely got fewer reasons to hold back. If you haven't already seen it: http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_8_9/494327_2nd_amendment_at_risk.html |
