I've been wondering ... seems like every post you put in here is advertising a class. You're not a team member or industry partner. A Hometown Dealer would be allowed one thread for advertising and there's at least two active right now...
I'm not trying to crap on your show, and I'm glad there's training out there, but... ![]() |

Just took the three day course. Training was the best, can't say enough good things about the instructors well worth the money. The range is very new and I must say first rate. Had never been there before this training. Good class room and the best range cover I have been on, some type of stone dust, even after 8 hours training legs did not hurt. Don't know what is planned in future, but plan to go back.

I attended this IALEFI instructor course, which was held at the Verdad Investigations Range. I have been to a lot of training classes, and have spent a ton of agency money and my own personal money. This class is probably one of the best classes I have ever attended. Although I was slightly apprehensive, not knowing two of the three instructors, the price ($280.00 for non member) for a three day class which covered three weapon systems was to hard to turn down. Upon arrival, I was blown away by the facilities. The class room was a very nice building which was set up in the classic learning “U” format. Above all, they had “CLEAN” bathrooms. I say this because out of 20 classes I have taken, 15 had only a Porta-potty, and the remaining 5 had one toilet that you had to “hover” to drop a deuce. Enough of the bathrooms… The range was, as Dave Spaulding said, one of the best ranges I have been on. Is it the best… No. I like Blackwaters better. But, the layout was awesome. The range utilizes stone dust, which is like a ground up blue stone (or something like that). Dropping to a knee, or going prone was almost painless. Above all, the range was very easy on your feet. The range owners; Pat and Maria, were excellent hosts. For a small fee ($30.00 for the three days), they served a home cooked meal for lunch every day, as well as a steak dinner on the second night. Everyone was full.
Shotgun was taught by LouAnn Hamblin. LouAnn was probably one of the best instructors I have ever had the pleasure of taking a class with. LouAnn made us run the gun hard. We were shooting one handed (support side only, too) as well as movers. She had us doing immediate action drills (one handed and two) as well as a lot of movement shooting. On one occasion, LouAnn got into one of the guys faces and created serious stress to him (we were hysterical). LouAnn also demonstrated everything (she walked the walk). About 130 rounds fired. Pistol was taught by Dave Spaulding, who named ILEETA’s 2010 LE trainer of the year. Dave changed my opinion on some pistol work, which is not easy to do. I have been active LE for over 18 years (LE) and an instructor for 10. Dave showed us (on the timer) his way versus our way. Dave does not subscribe to the “my way or the highway” philosophy. He only wanted to impart knowledge on us, and to take what we want. About 320 rounds fired. Rifle was taught by Captain Mike Boyle, which was not high speed / tier 1 stuff, but it was very good. Mike ran us through a lot of drills, including competition drills. It felt like I ran the gun more in this class, than I did in Vickers class at Blackwater. About 420 rounds were fired. All in all, this class was not a “learn to shoot” class, it was an instructor development class. Great time; great instruction for a great price. I highly recommend this class, as well as the instructors and the range. I will definitely be returning next year. |

I agree he should pay up to be an industry partner since he's been advertising for free for so long. |

The IALEFI event is a COMPLETELY non-profit event, in fact we donate our facility, staffing, and time to this and other IALEFI events throughout the country. We do our part to support Law Enforcement and their sworn mission to protect and serve the public. We are not violating the AR 15 posting regulations, with this or any other post. If we had, they would be deleted.
We are very far from non-contributory to the firearms industry, however actually spend time on range, training both Law Enforcement and Civilians, and firing our weapons rather than bouncing from site to site making derogatory comments on Law Enforcement and other firearms web sites. Thanks to all who attended and participated in the 3rd Annual IALEFI Master Instructor Development Program. We were very pleased to have Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors from Rochester, Ithaca, Onondaga, Cayuga and Dutchess Counties, as well as Pennsylvania, Massachusets, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Ohio, Michigan and more. We strive to maintain and produce the highest standard of training available to Law Enforcement in the country. We also work very hard to make participants comfortable, and fully supported in thier mission to improve the training they deliver to the various departments they serve. Great seeing each and every one of you! We hope you do come back!!! The food, drink, range and training will continue! |
