To become a member. You need two current members to sponser you. Dues are $240 a year if you pay all at once. It's a little more if you make payments. If you work two work parties. You save $50. We have a complete outdoor archery set up. One is a walk through course. The other is a range with targets from 10 to 70 yards. 25 yard indoor pistol range / archery range 50 yard pistol range with over 50 lanes / steel silouhettes 100 yard rifle range trap and skeet range full club house with pool tables, full bar. private huge fishing lake a nature trail through the woods pellet/air rifle range you can bring up to 20 guests to the club house... no fees.. and no fees for the guests you bring shooting Thats about all I can remember off hand. |

it too is a membership only club but they do have open trap on tues. nites and open indoor pistol range 1st and 3rd wed. anyone down this way let me know and i'd be glad to take you over there. earlybirdnj |

Short rant: I can understand that membership dues keep the riff-raff out, but are these ranges serious about asking $300+ in initial fees? For that kind of money, the place should have a shoot house with animatronic targets. |

Don't forget Riverdale. www.riverdalepistol.org The indoor range there is MOST impressive! Classrooms too. (I sure am missing NJ now)

Not a public range but plenty of fun shooting here. open to the public during the Turkey shoots and trap shoots. Please refer to website for the dates of the events. Very good trap shoots. Even the most experienced shooters will find this challenging.

But then what do you do with your 30 rd mags when you're done at the range? Hide them in your spare tire well and hope to hell you don't get busted for SOMETHING while you drive around at home? Doesn't seem quite worth it to me, but then again, I've never been much of a risk-taker (unless the odds and payoff were both dramatically on my side.) I'll just keep my large supply of PK90's 15 rounders and bide my time here in the PRNJ. and btw, South Jersey Shooting Club in Winslow Twp (Camden County) is only $200 per yr, and no extras like initiation fees. |

What places have this setup? I'm kinda sick of Ft. Dix and I'm looking for a place close to the border (or less than 2hrs, I dont shoot alot but I dont want to kill a whole part of my day just to get to a range), having worry-free use of 30rn mags for my Ar and 10/22 would be nice. I guess I could also just be uber cheap and stash the magazines in the woods along a road in PA in an oily rag stuffed in a ziplock bag, but that might be sketch looking as hell if a cop drove by, PA or not. |
