Texas law enforcement officers are legally allowed to carry weapons inside of private businesses with these notices. However, these notices are rarely, if ever, enforced by the businesses that post them when it comes to law enforcement officers.

Was the Chief on duty? If so he should conduct personal business on his time.

A spokesman for Texas ENT told KHOU 11 News an office employee made a big mistake yesterday and said he has personally apologized to Chief Dupuis.

I don't think feelings are the issue.    Uneducated employees are the issue.

I've had to do something similar at a hotel in Houston several years ago.  I got a free weekend stay after explaining the statutes to the statewide manager of a popular hotel chain.

And as a result of that, LTC holders like YOU benefited as well.  That way your feelings dont get hurt.

ETA: I'm opposed to using socialist media as a rule, but I think it would have been better to contact the franchise general manager instead of using facebook. He would have obtained the same results without the publicity. ( Like I did )

Have you never taken time off of work to go to the doctor?

To add

I think it's safe to say he's salaried. So technically, he's always on the clock.

I like to say "I'm an American citizen with a human right to self defense that is mentioned in the second amendment. I'm not going to take my gun off".

No problem. Please lie down, while our MRI takes it off for you.

It was an EENT.  He was probably in for some more allergy meds.

My doc's office isn't 30.06 or 30.07 and it's not part of a hospital. And I always take my laptop because it's not safe to leave it in the car. Gun goes in the computer bag, so if I have to disrobe, I don't have to explain anything to anyone.

Just sayin

On a more pertinent note, why do professional people jack with their local PD? Sorry someone broke into your offices this weekend and stole your stuff. Our investigators will make your case a "top" priority. I just don't see where anyone benefits by the purse swinging.

That's quite interesting.  I always assumed that the MRI machines were strictly electromagnets and that they only fired them up right before you were about to go in them.

They are an electromagnet but once the machine  is powered on, you have yourself a pretty strong magnet. It's not the same level of strength when the machine is taking images but as you can see...it's strong enough to grab a gun and make it discharge.
